I want to run the top 25-50 games for each 8 to 64 bit console, portables, as well as MAME/Arcade. I've also heard that when you dive in deeper it's a pain to get video demos, artwork, etc. I've got it to run some Genesis ROMS but they are choppy and audio is messed up. I'm struggling to get RetroArch to run (d3d error) unless I run it by changing the config file to "SDL2" for video. I've looked through the SimplyAustin tutorials (which are awesome!) And followed along.
Onboard graphics, Intel Core2Duo, 4GB RAM for like $60 on CL and have been trying to learn HyperSpin. Tons of fun, and have to give a big shout out to this Reddit community for the great info getting it set up! Have got several different joystick button layouts on boards set up and running. Emulation station running smoothly and all the systems I desire to emulate set up, ROMs scraped with cover art, etc. RetroPie Pals - I have worked out most of the kinks of RetroPie and have set up and run a prototype with arcade controls.
